New Post-Security Employees

Welcome to Fort McMurray International Airport's (YMM) Employee Team!

Safety and Security of our airport is the top priority for every employee who works at YMM. If the position you have been hired for requires Post-Security access you will be required to complete the process outlined on this page.

It is mandatory to follow the Transport Canada Security Clearance Process to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). It is important that you start this process immediately as it can take 3 months or more to complete the full process. We have several steps in place along the way that will allow you to continue working while you wait for your clearance. Below is a step-by-step process to obtaining your RAIC. Please read through all the steps. It is possible to complete multiple steps at the same time and you are required to complete all steps to gain access to post-security areas.

If you have any questions along the way, please contact the Pass Office. We are here to assist you with the process and get you working with the team at YMM.
